The Telecommunication Engineering and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) research group at the University of Twente is part of the multidisciplinary research institute Centre for Telematics and Information Technology (CTIT). The group is within the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS). The department is one of three academic institutions in the discipline of Electrical Engineering in the Netherlands.

Entry requirements
Applications are invited for a fully funded four-year PhD researcher in the Telecommunication Engineering and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) research group. The ideal candidate should possess, or expect to obtain, an MSc degree in a discipline relevant to the proposed research. He or she should have a demonstrable ability to work well in a team, have intellectual curiosity, as well as knowledge of one or more of the topics described above.
Funding/Salary
A four-year PhD researcher opportunity is available immediately to carry out research into the exciting and growing field of new metamaterials in PCB technology. The successful candidate will be provided with excellent opportunities for gaining experience, for building a career in this prospective research field, and for extending his/her knowledge via international exchange programs, participation in national and international conferences and workshops, and global visits to prestigious research institutes and universities.
The award will provide a monthly gross salary for the successful candidate, in accordance with the Dutch universities collective labour agreement, within the range of EURO 1956, for the first year, to EURO 2502 for the fourth year.
